Re: My skin is making me miserable. Please help!

Hello Ozarkee,

First, understand that the reason the flareup has returned is because the root of the problem was not dealt with and the medications simply suppressed the symptom. As a matter of fact, Antibiotics and steroids both instigate and promote further eczema flareups. Your skin is speaking out, with the symptom, to alert you to a toxic invasion and your immune systems need for nourishment refueling so that it can do the job of healing. However, don't be discouraged because healing is indeed attainable in the present, now. You can restore the health to your immune system and the healing will begin.

I have a few questions before I go into further detail as to how you can achieve your healing. Besides your food changes two months ago, do you remember touching or handling any thing different? For example did you change diswashing liquids, soap, detergents or household cleansers. Did you do any type of gardening or come into contact with any type of plant (such as poison ivy or oak) that may have triggered the allergic reaction?

There are many different types of eczemas (dermatitis). It seems that your dermatologist made the contact dermatitis diagnosis due to the point of origin with your particular breakout. It makes sense. The diagnosis is probably correct; however the treatment prescribed is where the problem arises. We can help you in that regard. I base that statement on the fact that my niece has been free of eczema for five years now without the use of harmful medications. She was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis (hereditary eczema) and suffered a severe (total body) eczema breakout at 3 months old. She only knows of eczema because we tell her that she suffered with it; there is no evidence of it on her skin. You don't have to be miserable any longer; and I'm glad you found this site also.
