Re: Thanks, are those the only methods?

hi, i had similar edema in my feet and legs for many years after
my recoveries,
i found that sitting with feet up several times a day in between chores, and also utilising ace bandages as legs wraps (not to tight),
and wearing snug socks greatly affected my edema and kept swelling down.

there are a great many herbal teas you can make to help the lymph system flush and reduce edema.
(retaining excess fluid)

weight loss, and also paying attention to diet are very important factors, as is elimination of toxic food useage (ie: red meat, dairy, soy or canola oils or trans fats, fried foods ,table salt vs unrefined Seasalt , canned veggies vs fresh, fish has higher dioxin lvls over red meat !..if you must intake animal protein at least focus on chicken or turkey and cook it in ways that do not involve frying.)
teflon cookwares , nylon implements etc..are both sources of toxins.

Liver Flushes and kidney stone dissolve flushes will help greatly.
as will reflexology techniques focusing on liver, spleen areas.

waking up your circulation thru light exercise
and boosting digestive system
by eating at proper times all help.
the largest meal should be between noon and 1 pm
also massaging your lymph areas or congested fatty deposit areas
will aid greatly.

i will edit my message today with some great herbs to help you in eliminating some of that excess fluid retention.
(i use so many fresh dried herbs for so many reasons, i would hate to pop one off the top of my head) *smile*

well i went and checked alot of my resources and since i don't know much about your history health issues etc, i think that a tea made from dandelion leaves would best suit your purposes.

a good tea would be to add to 2 tablespoons of insecticide free
dandelion leaves, 2 cups of boiling water.
let steep for 15 minutes.
strain and drink in one tablespoon doseages thru-out the day
up to the 2 cups that you made.

it is a good tonic: diuretic, and laxative and can aid in wt loss ,
used also as an aid for liver problems, including jauntice.

native american indian uses for it included:
skin problems, heartburn,to calm the nerves, anemia, constipation, pain and water retention.

i get my herbs in bulk from the link below
scroll down to dandelion leaves
get the 4 oz bag for $ 3.25
( will last you an incredibly long time) *smile*

best to you ,
