Only you can make the choice to let go, I agree that drudging the past and seeing your ex will only lead to more misery and heartache. (Remember, it wasn't so great back then. Trust is a BIG issue in a relationship). We women, and maybe some men, have been raised with this fantasy of a soul-mate. And as you have found out, there's no man on earth who can measure up to this standard. We do have a soul-mate in a different way though, it's inside of us, our own spirituality. And this mate never leaves us, we can trust him completely. So concentrate on the positive: You made the right decision to leave a bad relationship that was hurting you. You love now a man whom you can trust. Decide these things in your head now everyday, and your heart will follow. "Fake it 'til you make it!" Remember, you're probubly having such a hard time letting go because you've been so focused on the past which is no longer a reality in your life. Tweet
