I am sorry about the delay in my response, Mel. A lot has happened to me of late, and I am attempting to come to terms with it as best I can. I have been used to “coincidences” and synchronicity, but never before to this degree!

Before I comment on your almost scarily accurate reiki experience, I should perhaps say that my emotional state has not been the best since my reiki session. And as an irritating adjunct, my head has throbbed almost constantly and my body is both tired and sore. I believe it will be wise for me to take a few days to recover, away from distractions such as family, internet debate, etc.

Anyway, I must thank you again for taking the time to send me healing/energy, and following are my comments thereon:

Lightning and stabbing pains certainly seem appropriate, as yesterday in particular I felt as if I had suffered a physical beating the night before - and sparks certainly flew between my sister and I. It is also interesting you mentioned my need to speak my truth. Over the past few days in particular I have been met by doubt, distaste and utter denial of “my truth,” from people on this very site as well as certain family members. I received a telephone call from my sister (who is younger than me by some three years) yesterday afternoon, which was nothing more than a forty-five minute lecture about how “I” am this, that, and so many other things, and further, how “I” need to change for the betterment of the family! I do try to stay as silent as possible, as I am fully aware that my opinions and morals upset the delicate balance of ignorance a great deal, but perhaps it is time to cease being afraid of my own thoughts (and the reactions they cause) and voice them with certainty and with pride.

And now for the section of your notes that stunned me the most…

Ever since my reiki session I have been experiencing an odd tingling near to my left nostril, and indeed I did consider a parasite of some kind as I have been taking large doses of wormwood. Yesterday, and indeed the day before, I was very conscious of my nose, most notably the area behind my nose which felt numb and rather uncomfortable. Also, since the reiki session I have had a “lump” in my throat, and an awful taste in my mouth. Yesterday it was at its worst; the taste was repulsive and the lump unmoving - this may have been due to drinking lemon juice and maple syrup all day, as it did seem to intensify the feelings/taste shortly after drinking the mix. It actually feels like mucous, yet there is no movement; and, I would be most surprised if it is mucous since I have not ingested anything in many, many months that comes even come close to causing this…

I am not sure if this is relevant, but since the reiki session I have felt an almost overwhelming desire to get away. Where to I am not sure, but I feel very uncomfortable in my current surroundings, and to a certain extent, in my own skin. Perhaps I am not thinking straight, as even after ten hours sleep I still feel as if I have not slept in weeks…
