Virginal Reiki Escapades

I experienced my first reiki session approximately two hours ago, and I am still reeling…

At this time, I am feeling fatigued, both mentally and physically, and for the first time since I was about twenty years young, I am suffering from a headache. Aside from this, I also feel a little “high” and contented…relaxed despite the sensation of having been “knocked for six.” I was told, upon leaving the building, that it would be wise for me to rest as much as possible, perhaps even for the next two or three days, as I had apparently taken on “a LOT” of energy; indeed, she seemed surprised when she explained that the energy felt around my head was “incredible.” This energy was felt by me, also, needless to say, and there were moments when I had to fight the desire to ask her to stop. There was great pressure from within my head, pushing outward, and an almost uncomfortable degree of heat all round my head, which felt as if it reached upward at least two feet…a little like a coiled snake in fact, reaching for the stars.

Sometime later, just as I thought I may faint from the heat and pressure, there came total relief, as if someone had literally sawn off the top of my head and blown a fan on “cool” setting into my skull. This feeling made me giddy, and I could not help but lie with a wide grin upon my face. The interesting thing is, that when the lady was working around my gut and then my legs, I again felt great heat then air around my head, which only subsided as she reached my feet.

Unfortunately, I saw no colours or shapes like some have described previously on this forum, but I did experience a very deep, hour-long meditation which brought to life some very interesting images - mostly of pyramids, light entering between my eyes, and a peculiar image of a formless “me” amidst a backdrop of total light, which I gazed upon from the third-person.

The reiki practitioner (if this is the correct term) commented that she saw a great deal of pink when she was working around my head, and repeated a number of times that the heat was quite incredible (no kidding!). She also stipulated that, when working from my knees downward, she saw very clear images of greenery and countryside, most notably of hills and of fields. This is also interesting given my plans to disappear for some time and exist entirely “out there”… Hm, now for the negative… She seemed concerned (she did not say she was, but her eyes conveyed enough to disturb me) when she stated that a “great amount of black” was around my solar plexus region, which I do not suppose is such a great surprise given my many years previous of digestive woe, mostly liver related. (All around or very near to the third chakra.)

One thing that did surprise me was the persistent sense of one moment having seemingly no circulation in certain regions whatsoever, and then the next greater circulation than I had ever before experienced! It was almost as if she was closing and opening valves - I did feel some discomfort in the left side of my neck and especially my left arm, but this was followed by an almost overwhelming surge of blood (or energy?) which set the area ablaze.

Anyway, I do not suppose the above text is anywhere near coherent, as my mind certainly is not at this point; but perhaps someone may be interested to read the experiences of a “newbie,” and possibly even comment thereon. Who knows… Tweet
