After visiting the reiki sites and reading the wonderful posts...I am coming to understand this universal energy in christian terms as the Holy Ghost....Moving beyond Dogma...& I know this might have caused a stirring of righteous indignation or irreverant disrespect...but that is my take on it...I have utilized the Holy Spirit to facilitate many of the things mentioned in the sites you have noted...I am glad to see that God ( or as Lapis says______fill in the blank...) doesn't just help heal Western Thinkers....
