Anyway - he said, essentially, what everyone here has said:

Place God first.

Pray "Thy will, not mine, be done."

Appreciate where you are.

Don't push.

God shapes us; builds our character through challenges.

Always answers prayers, even when he says "No.'

If God doesn't give us what we want, He's either protecting us from what we think we want; and preparing us for what He wants for us later.

And so much more - so please, if you can find it in your heart, make the exception tonight, and make the attempt to watch Joel tonight.
