I have read a couple of your posts so know what you have shared about this situation.

I know that you want advice because you are probably having a lot of strong emotions, naturally.

What is most important is what YOU want to do. What is best for YOU? Put aside what may be best from your boyfriend's perspective...put aside what is best from others' perspective even those close to you like friends/family...put aside everyone else. This is YOUR life you have to live and decide for, no one else's.

What is best for YOU? What do YOU want?

Take your time...find some way to really get to your deeper thoughts and feelings about this without all the fear...especially your boyfriend's fear. Is there a very objective person that can help you 'clear your head'? Maybe an unbiased friend, spiritual advisor, etc.? If you are a spiritual person, take time by yourself and seek spiritual guidance on what is best for you.

And give some time to the situation. Usually when we are given 'shocking' news we have a very emotional reaction. Once the news settles in a bit....everyone may be able to think more clearly and objectively.

In the immediate, what are some ways you can relieve some of this stress? Maybe do some calm, deep breathing, meditation, prayer, go for a walk, do something you enjoy (I know that may sound silly right now), go see something or someone that inspires you...any of these things will help you get some clarity out of the initial fear of the situation. You know, like to 'step out of the emotional situation' for a little while.

And don't talk to your boyfriend for a little while if he is bombarding you with his stressful feelings! :)
