I've been reading your thread...a very interesting dream! I really agree with Tracey's comments above (and below...the idea that you could be a catalyst for change in your family). I left home at a young-ish age because of an abusive situation, but then found myself very sick about 4 years later with mononucleosis. I had to temporarily move home again for 3 months because I needed someone to care for me....I didn't have the energy to cook for myself or even to shower etc. Being at home for a time helped to heal the situation a bit; not for ALL members of the family, but at least my parents, and helped me to feel that "home" was again a bearable place to be.

Perhaps your illness will help to heal some wounds in your family too. It sounds like you have a lot of insight and wisdom that you will be able to offer your family....if they want to take it!
