Re: Ok, I'll try the soap and also the salt
Hi : ))
I am going to "pipe in" with my 2 cents. IMO soap (i.e. ivory) has chemicals in it. I would suggest apple cider vinegar. It acts as a disinfectant. When I was severely constipated (and quite frankly my movements were rock-hard), I would put some acv in an enema bucket and retain the liquid for approx 20 minutes. I was not nearly as constipated as you, but I had to do the enema 2 or 3 times...the same time each morning. Every 2 or 3 days I would place some kefir (could be yoghurt or acid. capules) in the enema bucket. If the natural flora is not replaced, constipation will continue.
you have probably tried or have knowledge of the following and many may seem simplistic given your situation but I can't help trying : ))
* good oils -- I seem to need more good oils (a balance of omega 3 - 6 and also 9 is required) than the average person. we need these good oils to ensure the proper functioning of the body. Most people generally have too much "6s" so we need to factor in "3s" (i.e. flax oil)...
* magnesium -- interestingly enough...I have candida (it was quite severe). Since magnesium usurps most of the magnesium in the body one has to factor in mag supplements. For me, they didn't seem to work at all. Several months later (after some research) I relized there are different types of mag (e.g. magnesium oxide, magnesium sulfate, and magnesium carbonate...citrate/malate). Not everyone absorbs one equally as well as another person. Anyway, I began taking a calcium/magnesium supplement by nu-life (no product affiliation) and I began to notice it working (softening of stools).
By the way, too much mag can upset the cal/mag balance so one must factor in calcium. ALSO....capsule supplements are more readily absorbed by the body while tablets are not.
Herbs:
* slippery elm
* marshmellow root
* dandelion and burdock root act as mild laxatives as they release liver bile
I have not tried but many have: the blessed herbs or Dr. Shultz or colonix
Food:
*carrots (eat raw)
*beets....especially beet tops (the leaves attached to the beets : ))
*kale (steamed with plenty of sunflower oil and grey
Sea Salt for minerals)
**STRESS**
I do/practice meditation and exercise each day...if not I CANNOT HAVE A B/MOVEMENT...
Even good stress is STRESS : ))
Leaky gut and candida go nand-in-hand with digestion/elimination problems...and it sounds like you have these....check-out the
Candida Forum ....let me know if you have any questions. perhaps I can help
I hope this post helps a little : )) I truly sympathize with your situation and keeping somewhat optimistic must be an extreme challenge... : )) I have been where you are with another type of illness (there were "many" "challenging" days)
Take Care....Alex
