I don't know if this would help you, but lately I've been having good fortune with simply making a statement that I will find a solution to a problem, and then forgetting about it.

Somehow an answer just appears, as if by magic. This has been happening in shorter and shorter periods of time. Saves me oodles of mental effort. (Grin.)
