Re: Fasting & raw to anorexia & bulemia

I would also discourage from fasting as a way of controlling/curing an eating disorder. Those who suffer from eating disorders usually have an "all or nothing" mindset about food, which is further reinforced by not eating (fasting). When you come off of the fast and start to re-introduce foods, it is very easy to get back into the "all" mindset and eat everything in sight. I have previously suffered from bulimia and overeating disorders...The way I have stopped these viscious cycles from occuring is by eating small things every hour or hour and a half. This way, you get the satisfaction of eating, but you are not eating too much. For instance, I'll have 2 boiled eggs for breakfast, a string cheese for a snack, some Celery and peanut butter for lunch, etc. To add to the benefits of not reverting to my old ways, I have lost a lot of weight in the process! Good luck :)
