Re: Laws

I think gays should be afforded the same civil rights as everyone else, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness...but knocking down time-tested traditions seems irrational. Marriage is for a man and a woman. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of two people of the same sex marrying; it just seems wrong.

Here is CA the women usually gets half of the husband's assets after a divorce. She usually gets the children as well. If a gay couple gets married and divorced, how will that pan out? On the marriage certificate is their a entry for "butch" and "girlie-girl"; then the girlie-girl gets half of the assets, etc. Same with a male gay couple, do they have to specify who the dominant one in the relationship is or not.

And please don't state that you know a gay couple who are equal as in both are the dominant couple bc BY NATURE man and woman instinctively know their roles. And gay couples have been nurtured to practice this, and thus there IS ALWAYS A DOMINANT ONE AND A SUBMISSIVE ONE LIKE A TRADITIONAL RELATIONSHIP IS.

In future, gays will be able to marry bc of social evolution; we are definitely leaning toward it. But I don't think it should be looked upon normal bc it's not.
