It really sounds like you've been through a lot the past couple of months so it makes sense that it's been a healing crisis! Glad you're feeling better :)
Interesting how the acupuncture has been working and triggering emotional memories.....I suppose these things work quite deeply on an emotional level. It sounds like the bach flowers were working too, they're quite subtle but you can start to develop a lot of insight into yourself when you start using them and old/deep emotions start rising to the surface. It sounds like you've hit some new level of consciousness and realising a lot of things esp the food issue. I use food in the same way, to deal with emotions and it can feel quite ingrained and unstoppable sometimes! On several occasions using bach flowers have stopped me dead in my tracks when I've been on binge which I think is amazing!
When you say putting on a cheerful face for the world I immediately though of Agrimony. I can't remember if you were taking that one or not but it's for hiding behind a cheerful face and *dealing with difficult issues/emotions with drink/drugs/food* so if you like the Bach Flowers I would definitely recommend that one. It works quite deeply so may take a while to notice any changes but helps you become more congruent. It goes well with Chestnut Bud which I think you were taking :) Also Mimulus is for fear (water element).
Since if you're a water element person I wonder if doing regular urine packs over the kidneys might help? Have you tried that?

Not sure about the kefir, see what it smells like!!! I think you're supposed to regularly change the milk. If you want to start making it I would throw out the first 3 batches and use the fourth. I haven't made any for a few weeks as in the end I didn't think it was agreeing with me so I'm more or less off dairly completely now. Mine's in the fridge, I haven't changed the milk and I haven't been home for 10 days it'll probably smell really putrid lol!
