Re: What to do for Depression
Michelle,
First off, you probably know you should try one new thing at a time to see if that one thing is working or not working or if you get a reaction to it, positive or negative. Mg is one mineral that's important for neurolgical issues including depression. But you know that already.
Then there's B complex. Do you take that? B complex is essential for repairing the adrenals when exhausted. Probably get that in your multiple. Some people require a lot of B's. Especially if you are drinking all that water. B's are water soluable and may be washing out. You might be able to take more with good results and no bad reaction. Best to add slowly if you try this, like anything else new.
Have you read Adelle Davis? "Let's Get Well." Available at the library, or used to be. Or at HFS. She explains what all the B's do and their deficiency symptoms. Very enlightening.
Also, candida can really mess up one's hormonal secretions in the way the body recognizes them, generally they are seen as something else or not at all. It's possible, that if you have estrogen and progesterone and testosterone out of balance and you end up with way too much estrogen (by ratio), this could cause crying and being upset at little things. You might consider getting a complete hormone panel done. They don't usually do those for insurance screening like you had.
What did your holstic (who carries on Dr. Crook's work) practitioner say about your depression?
Are you still taking the ConcenTrace minerals?
You might consider that liver flush. Just try a mild one, like lemon juice and olive oil. It's not harsh, in fact your liver will like it! The point is, whenever I've cleaned out my liver, my mood and spirits lighten up considerably!
Anyway, there's a few ideas. As always, good luck and hang in there!
