I think you're right, there is some miscommunication.
Also a cultural difference. It is hard to imagine how draining 4 children are, unless you've been a Mom with them literally hanging on you for years! They are so needy and ...gotta love 'em...but eventually you really get sucked dry and need "recharging." Trying to do that while candida already has drained you, and a help-mate who doesn't help, and... well you could just cry!
Women "recharge" through their relationships and supporting each other. This is not seen as a weakness, but as a source of strength. It happens through words of kindness and reassurance, although I know guys are more likely to give advice or urge their buddies to suck it up.
