Re: Believing doctors...affirming/disconfirming candida

It is soo sad that most people just can't see that doctors don't always know what's best for you...trust me i know better than anyone how ignorant doctors are when i comes to candida because i'm currently in med school and have had to learn every symptom for every disease known to the human being and never once have any of my textbooks, professors, or doctor friends ever said anything about the possibility of candida occuring in someone other than aids and cancer patients or those who are SEVERELY immunosupressed....after taking Antibiotics for a kidney infection i started to get white clouds in my urine and feel very tired so i concluded that i must have gotten candida, so i went to my gyno (i also had very mild vaginal itching) i expected that she would give me diflucan but instead she didn't even offer any sort of antifungal and actually told me that birth control would "even out my hormones and correct the problem"...but i'm no fool so i just smiled and said no thanks...i should have told her to f--k off and that medical advice was the worst i had ever received...i just felt like saying duh why would you not only not give me something that would help (an antifungal) but then try to give me something that would actually make the problem worse..i can't believe i had to pay for that worthless advice....
