I never once said evolution was random and pointless.

Just because some philosopher came up with a theory about evolution, that people generally accept as "what evolution is" (well, the evolutionists, anyway!), does not make it SO. And I don't know anything about this Darwin guy, anyway, and really don't care what his thoughts on evolution are. :)

He may have been the one to popularize some ideas about evolution, but that doesn't mean the ideas are 100% accurate.

If his ideas are the only ones people consider valid (regarding evolution), and the only ones they associate with "evolution", and if evolutionists are basically cult-followers of The Great Darwin ... well, good thing I never claimed to be an evolutionist. ;)
