Re: Three Major Prophecies About Billy Graham’s Death
But here is just a small sampling of other quotes I've put on here by Miles McKee. These quotes are more representative of what his main ministry is about and I'd say all these glorify Christ, wouldn't you, or no?:
On what basis does the Father in Heaven accept and welcome us? The answer is simple, it’s one word or rather one name--- JESUS. The name of Jesus opens the door to Heaven for He is the door. The name of Jesus shows us the way to Heaven because He is the Way. The name of Jesus is the name of the one who saves His people from their sins. It is the name of the one who saves to the uttermost. It is the name of the One with whom the Father is well pleased.
Jesus, the Lord of life and glory became a security and substitute for His people. He took our place as He lived and died for us enduring the entire punishment that was due to us. He fulfilled the whole law by His doing and dying. He poured out His blood for us, died for us, rose again for us and ascended to the right hand of the Father for us. And now, because of Jesus and His accomplishments on our behalf, not only love but also justice demands our acquittal----this is exceedingly good news for the believing sinner.
With the full authority of God, Jesus turned water into wine by merely looking at it. He didn’t even have to speak. By divine and absolute authority, when He did speak, the raging seas were calmed. By divine and absolute authority, He raised the dead and cast out demons. By divine and absolute authority He multiplied the loaves and fishes. By divine and absolute authority He restored missing limbs to those that were maimed! What an astonishing manifestation of divine authority and creative power was manifest at His mere touch! So when He declared that all power belonged to Him (Matthew 28:18), He was clearly declaring His deity, a fact which He had demonstrated throughout his ministry.
Who Gives Eternal Life?
There are those who say that Jesus was an enlightened teacher, but that’s it, He was not God. Well of course He was a brilliant teacher. Just think of His influence compared to that of Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. They taught for a total of 130 years, but Jesus taught for only 3. Yet those 3 years turned the world upside down and impacted more people than did Plato and the rest of the boys.
But, this is not the point. Jesus was more than a good teacher; He was God manifest in the flesh. This means that He was greater than all teachers who had gone before Him or who would come after Him. And, as God, He would not only teach but also do things worthy of Deity. He, for example, gave the gift of eternal life. Which of the other worthy teachers of the past gave the gift of eternal life? Not Plato, not Socrates, not Aristotle---none of them.
