My husband has his guns. I can't really say I necessarily feel safer because of that but I tell you it has gotten him out of a lot of tickets. He gets pulled over, tells the cop he has a gun, they end up having a great conversation and then he gets off scot-free from whatever he got pulled over for.
An old friend of ours had a daughter that was killed recently, stabbed to death by her boyfriend. She was living with her grandfather and he walked into the scene, then got stabbed himself, but he managed to get away long enough to get his gun. He came back and shot the guy, saving his own life but it was too late for his granddaughter. He'd more than likely be dead if he hadn't of had that gun. Not trying to advocate for guns here, just telling the story.
I had a weird gut instinct Trump would be elected. My dad and husband kept saying there was no way he was going to get in, but I just wasn't so sure of that. But those listening to the "prophets" knew for sure he'd get in.
