But no, I thought you believed you had complete freedom by virtue of the fact that you live in the good ol' USofA, period. Your freedom in Christ is not in question, or the issue. All Christians participate in that freedom, but meantime we live out our physical lives here on earth under systems created by men. Created mainly to control or enslave us.

My point was that your country is arguably the best example of such a system. For example, you have a two-party dictatorship that gives you the semblance of choice, and therefore the illusion of true freedom and democratic govt. In reality, you could not drive a cigarette paper between them on virtually every policy area that really matters, and most of those that don't.

I like President (of Ecuador) Rafael Correa's joke on that very subject:

There is a greater difference between what I think in the morning and what I think in the afternoon than between those two parties.

He's dead right ya know.  Oops, sorry - no, you don't know, do ya? Yeah, you have such a wonderful system; a fine example for the rest of the world to emulate. So you feel obliged to lecture us on how we should govern ourselves. Or you take it upon yourselves to 'export your values', usually by illegal wars, covert operations, black ops, assassinations, regime changes, the imposition of military dictatorships that torture their own citizens, ad nauseum. Meanwhile, you hypocritically point the finger at Russia and not only criticise her for her transparent lack of democratic credentials, but you berate her for her expansionist ambitions!! Pot, kettle, black, my dear.........know what I mean?

No, Russia can't even hold a candle to the number of overseas ventures conducted by the US in its quest for 'Pax Americana'. Russia has destroyed Syria, but the US all but destroyed three countries in just one corner of the world in a single war alone (Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia during the Vietnam war). Both my mother countries (Greece and Cyprus) have tasted the bitter fruit of your country's foreign policy, and even when combined with what the US did in SE Asia, that still represents just a tiny fraction of the crimes against humanity committed by your country around the world. 

I don't suppose for one minute you're aware of or know about even a fraction of the stuff that has been done in your name? Have you seen Oliver Stone's Untold History of the US, for example? I somehow doubt it, but if you want to learn the truth about what 'the land of the free' has been getting up to overseas over the last 100 years or so, you might wanna check it out. It's available on Youtube, when you can find the time. And before you point the finger at my country and her former empire, you needn't bother. I'm well aware of my country's crimes against humanity. The question is, are you remotely aware of your country's crimes? Coz if you are, then you'll also be aware that whichever party is in power, the foreign policy remains basically the same. 

That's ultimately in the control of the elites who run your system behind the scenes, and who make sure both parties toe the line. If any POTUS dares to step out of line, as Trump is threatening to do now, they have ways of reining them back in. Look how quickly Trump changed his mind about China. And you needn't worry about Putin. The elites won't let him get too friendly with the ruskies either. That does not suit the Industrial-Military Complex, which thrives on endless war. Ultimately, that's all US foreign policy boils down to - endless war.

When Kennedy threatened to pull out of Vietnam, they took good care of him. As soon as puppet Johnson got in, the so-called Tonkin Bay 'incident' was all the excuse they needed for their uninterrupted warmongering. The 'only' miscalculation was that the elites didn't expect to lose to a tiny, dirt-poor third world country armed with a tiny fraction of their fire-power. It was only international opinion that stopped you nuking them, so you poisoned them instead with Agent Orange, and they are paying the price to this day with birth defects.

But you come from/belong to a military family, so you must be proud of your record around the world, no? And so it goes on. Did you ever learn any of this, or has the lamestream media still managed to hide it from you all these years? As for that swamp being drained, I see no evidence of that. When two of your senior staff appointments come straight out of Goldmine Sachs, you know that swamp is only gonna get bigger by the day.
