Re: Hey Guys.......I Think I've Finally Found the Antichrist - PART II

I'm glad you say I'm getting closer and I do agree that the Jews never grasped the fundamental nature of His messianic office, however in my way of thinking the reason that happened is because they didn't actually stick with thinking literal but turned around and did an "Alexander".

Instead of sticking with the literal understanding, they made scripture say what they wanted it to so it would make sense to them. For when you don't keep to the literal reading/understanding of scripture in the beginning, you walk away with the wrong conclusion of what the deeper meaning really is.

The old testament is full of mentions of their Messiah and not all of it was about Him being powerful or even desirable. Had they taken all of their scripture into account about the coming Messiah, even the lesser one's where He didn't sound as appealing as a leader, perhaps they would have recognized Him.

Here is a list of many of these scriptures, as well as some new testament ones showing the fulfillment. These scriptures were straight forward enough for the Jews to see who Jesus was, yet they didn't. Why didn't they recognize Him?...or is it possible that they just didn't want to? What ever the truth really is...God knows the answer.

(My apologies if this copy/paste turns out weird looking)
