danil miller tried desperately to leave the crusts on as long as possible, im not sure how long he went but I think it was 3 monthes or so. he avoided water during that time or anything touching his lips because he was scared. then he decided to use aquaphor every 15 minutes of everyday which alone without water will not work. I am pretty sure Daniel miller left out the fact that he was hydrating his lips with water through showers and such. most websites on chapped lips recommend that after you shower and get your lips really wet then to seal in the moisture with something like chapstick or in his case aquaphor. aquaphor will not work if you avoid water because your lips will just still remain dry without water because there is no moisture in the aquaphor, all aquaphor does is lock in the moisture water.
