Re: Has anyone cleared their body of liver flukes?
As to your question of TCBZ, I could not get it, no one had experience with it, and my read was it caused a total kill, I had flukes in Brain so there was no way to adjust the kill rate.
Doctors will order a test if you insist. Their knowledge is so poor on labs in this area, even when told which test, they cannot do it. You need to id the lab, and the test number. You may even have to give them the address of the lab.
Flatworms, Flukes,
Tapeworms can usually be identified by eye, after a challenge test of PinX or Praziquantel PZQ.
Roundworms are a different story.
Animal Antiparasitics are all we have a choice of, and can afford. I used some 300 grams of PZQ, it was a little over a dollar a gram.
ALB albendazole I used the internet for human tablets. Typically these are a dollar a pill, depending on the med.
I had my testing done by going to a hospital gastroenterologist. I do not know what lab they used. I was not very smart in those days, I thought they knew what they were doing. Big Mistake.
I tested positive for Ascaris, They missed the strongyloides, they did a blood smear.
Later on I found Quest Diagnostics one mile from my home, that had the ELISA test I wanted.
Expect the medical profession to be totally devoid of any competency when it comes to parasites.
You are 100% on your own.
The three most documented doctors on this forum come back with very mixed marks. All over the board.
Parasitology is an undeveloped medical field. The "experts" declined to treat, I called them all. Mayo declined, Duke declined, and the CDC referred me to the first group of "experts" Tropical medicine doctors know how to give shots, and collect payment, but do not treat.
I found intelligent people in research, I corresponded with a few.
Infectious Disease Doctors as a rule do not treat, but a few try.
Once in a while you find someone who reports a practitioner is willing to prescribe 3 pills of something, the CDC propaganda line.
Run Around.
A mile from my home UC has a group that treats children, they refused to treat an adult.
Most find Vet's are vastly more knowledgeable about
parasites than doctors.
I find this forum to have more actual experience and talent that the rest of them combined.
