Re: Has anyone cleared their body of liver flukes?
Hi Matt,
I have been ill for 4 years and recently dicovered A liver fluke infection after treatment with herbs whereupon I saw them. I took triclabendazole for 2 days in the correct dosage and felt better around my liver when I was on it, but I did not pass lots of flukes and it has not resolved my symptoms. However, I did pass a
Tapeworm segment (like an
inch long piece of tagliatelle pasta) which shows me I also have a
Tapeworm infection. I know it's best to get rid of liver fluke first, but I suspect there might be some form of co-infection dynamic going on where the
Tapeworm (or other possibly undiagnosed worms) are preventing me from getting rid of the flukes.
I have been tested for almost everything as far as I am aware at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine but they said everything was negative. I am now left wondering which way to treat, as I know I have tapeworm and fluke, but as the triclabendazole didn't work I wonder if there are other parasites. The medicines I have access to right now are triclabendazole and mebendazole, and will have praziquantel and albendazole within a week. which combination would you recommend I take? As the tests have been useless, taking the drugs seems to be the best way to make a diagnosis for me. Is it possible for
Tapeworms to be inhibiting the triclabendazole getting rid of fluke?
