My experience with the VA was quite helpful, but my impression is others don't have as good of luck. I can't believe social services was no help though--maybe you can ask for a supervisor to review your case--especially now your mother's passed. Or even move in with your unpleasent relatives for a smidge--live out of your suitcases for a brief time, while you locate safer digs. There must be something--you didn't mention your ability to work---are you able? Tweet
