I'm sorry to hear about your relative. I believe that if she had fasted or found a way to have considerable weight loss achieved, she probably wouldn't have started taking meds.

As for my case, I know what ruined my health , the standard american diet. Carbs in the US are bad because they are covered with oils and fat. Carbs in many other countries are eaten in their natural state. I've started learning how to cook. So after the fast, bye bye fast food. I will cook my own meals and go back to the way my family is eating.

Tomorrow is day 4 ... I have realized that what's going to help me is not focusing on how many days are left, I am trying to even forget that I am on a fast and getting distracted, that way time will go by faster and the fast will be over before I know it. It will make the fast easier as well. I'm distracting myself right now watching movies and comedy shows. It makes you forget about foods and all those bad thoughts people have while fasting.
