Re: Coffee enema good to bad
Again, I am very sorry for how lousy you feel right now and for the dilemma you are faced with, i.e., whether to continue with NB or not. I will share a little of my perspective on Dr. Wilson and also people who are on NB.
While I have great respect for Dr. Wilson's expertise, I see him as an idealist. That may not be quite the right word, but I have the impression that he is able to tackle challenges by following a plan almost perfectly. So he expects that of others. This may not be an accurate assessment of him since I have never met him. And it may not be the way he was when he began implementing NB principles on himself to overcome poor health. It takes energy to attempt to do anything perfectly.
I have had to give myself approval to do what I can each day. I am not at the level of eating 9 cups of cooked veggies a day. I eat as many as I can daily, and some days that is none. Usually, it's because I am dumping copper and have little appetite and have a bloated belly (copper). Nor do I have the energy to cook every day.
I don't eat lamb 3 times a week, either. My husband would balk if I cooked it that often, and I probably couldn't do it either.
There are people on NB who start out bedridden. The testimonials page on his site gives all kinds of stories. You are in good company if your health is really impaired at this stage. If you continue with NB, you will be in good company of those who are seeing progress. At least, that is my opinion. That's not to say there aren't other ways to heal. I just don't know what they are and I tried enough other modalities to know I'm sticking with NB.
Part of my perspective is colored by the fact that I worked directly with the lab the first 2 years. Their diet plan doesn't specify that much cooked veggies nor do they urge CEs and saunas. I still made progress. Hair retests showed progress as did my symptoms. So you don't have to do everything the way Dr. Wilson encourages for the program to work.
To sum up, if you decide to continue with NB, do what you can each day and don't stress over what you can't. Add CEs back in as soon as you can.
One thing I do almost daily is pray for others in poor health, specifically people doing NB. I will pray for you as well...for wisdom to know how to proceed and for the end result of robust health.
