Be careful with the general liver detox supplements. That is a shotgun approach. Maybe you'll be okay. Maybe you won't be able to tolerate the contents of the supplement or byproducts of it due to your particular problem.

"I was reading that the liver is the body part associated with anger. interestingly enough, im ALWAYS angry. I don't express it well, but on the inside, im always revved up..."

I was somewhat like that when I was at my worst. For a year or so I was actually on the lowest dose of the most mild mood stabilizer medicine, Trileptal. The semi natural doctor who prescribed it after a Spect brain scan also told me to take extra fish oil, etc. That actually seemed to help a little, almost certainly because I had a heavy metal problem that was--as usual for HMs-- damaging my brain. The 'stuff' in fish oil is used by the body to repair the brain.

However, after being amped up for hours I'd "crash" with fatigue and especially lethargy. My situation clearly involves adrenals as well as liver, but in your case I'd forget about adrenals for now and focus on liver. That includes or maybe starts with finding foods that contribute to the problem.

I'm not pretending to know what you need! I'm just providing thoughts that might turn into leads for you to investigate.

When a person is amped up and angry, the first thing I think of is noradrenaline. Please look it up!

Learn about how the body makes it--including copper!

Learn about how the body breaks it down--including the sulfation liver Phase II pathway. Read the following on the PST enzyme. I nearly cried when I read that page for the first time. I had looked for tipss about that problematic food group for 10+ years! Clearly I am sensitive to phenols. They also need sulfation for breakdown. By going light on the high phenol foods I conserve sulfate, etc

Also lithium was the lowest element on my hair test even though I was getting a tiny amount in a liquid mineral supplement. Just a couple mg of Li from Li orotate supplement helped to chill me out : ) I really like it especially after 15 years of trying to control my intense personality!

A. Cutler, a PhD chemist who writes on the topic of heavy metal detox, has a section on dealing with these liver symptoms since they are fairly common in HM toxic people. He provides tips for slowing down liver Phase I that is helpful for some people as well as trying to improve performance of Phase II pathways.

Epsom Salt is magnesium sulfate. Some like the more subtle effect of a footbath.

For those with arthritis, glucosamine sulfate sometimes is helpful. These are sources of sulfate.

So much more could be said. You have to do your homework and try dietary modifications and various supplements. the investment can be quite valuable; however, it would be nice to get to the bottom of the problem.

One experienced member of the yahoo detox group once commented on this process.

One warning, if mercury + arsenic is involved in your symptoms, you'll want to address it asap. There are quite a few members of the detox groups who waited too long. Now they really struggle to tolerate the detox medications and supplements they need to help heal the liver.

Good luck to you.
