Re: Xanthelasma and high cholesterol
I feel so bad for you. The garlic works, though my spots were about the size of the tip of a pencil eraser on my eyelids. I've had the spots several years. Tried the galic treatment and the spots are gone now, but you can't be faint of heart. I did a garlic therapy for 3 days. I actually made a garlic paste. I did one eye at a time. I covered the lash line with a little cotton and then put tape over it to keep any garlic from getting in my eye, while protecting my lashes from getting pulled off with the tape. I applied the garlic to that eyelid and timed it for 10 minutes. Then I flushed it at the sink with cold water before doing the other eye. I did this twice a day for threes days. It took about a week, they scabbed over and when the scab came off, the spots were gone. Give yourself time to recover, if they are still there, do it all over again, may take several runs at it to get rid of them. Try Dr. Whitaker's site. He recommends Berberine 500 mg 3 times a day to lower your cholesterol, great product, look for the purest form. He also recommends liquid gluathione breathing treatments in a nebulizer for COPD, 1 and 1/2 cc. Good luck....
