More on we are not gods

Yes Rainy, I basically agree with you. Vektek had already quoted some of the scripture that was in the explanation that you quoted. For me personally, it does make a big difference to realize that we are all children of God but some of us receive our birthright and become children of God and others of us reject our birthright and become children of the devil. That is exactly what the last scripture that you quoted means to me:

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

In other words, we as humans are all in a fallen and sinful state and in bondage, but because we are all children of God (because ye are sons), He loves us enough to send us His Son, that we can be redeemed of our fallen state and receive our birthright as an heir of God through Christ's grace. However, those that don't receive the grace of Christ, reject their birthright as children of God and become children of the devil. In other words, I agree with you and Vektek completely that only those that receive the grace of Christ are children of God, but I am saying it a bit differently.

Okay, I am going on my own thinking here, but I don't think God only created Adam. I think that God is the creator and Father not only of every living person but every living soul. Do you think that a human has the power to create life? Within our lowly human Science and rational understanding, we think that it is the earthly father and mother that create life, but for me it doesn't make sense that simply two humans can create life, only God can create life, so any life that comes into this world is only by the grace and power of God not of man and not of Satan. I believe only God has the power of creation and every person born onto this Earth is literally a child of God, but only receives the true birthright as a child of God until they receive the grace of Christ into their hearts, then they become a true child of God and become the rightful heir that they are.

Think about this also Rainy, I also wrote this to Vektek, in our human state, we are all born into a fallen state of existence of sin, so realistically according to your way of thinking (that I agree with) we are all children of the devil because we haven't received the grace of Christ and are not in His fold. But what does the scripture say? It says:

because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts

Do you think this means that because we are sons of the devil, that God sends us His Son? Why would He bother? If we are all just children of the devil, we are all lost and useless and there would be no reason for God to send His Son to redeem us. No, certainly this scripture means because we are inherently sons of God (even though temporarily in a state of sinfulness and hence children of the devil), that is why God sends us His Son, so that we can be redeemed and reclaim our rightful place as an heir of God.

At any rate, I think we do agree because you said in a general sense that God is the Father of all humans, but in a specific sense, only those that receive the grace of Christ are true children of God (as referred to in the scriptures). That is exactly what I am saying but maybe in a slightly different way.
