More on we are not gods
"In one sense, it is true that we are all children of God, in that we were created by Him, and made in His image. We all have attributes that we could only have if created in His image. In that sense, we are all “brethren,” cut from the same cloth, one no better than another. However, what does God Himself have to say about who are His children and who are not? It is written:
“He came unto His own, and His own received Him not. But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:11-13).
Clearly, if this testimony is true, and it is, then there are those who are children of God in a way that others are not."
I copied the above from thepathoftruth website. It is an org. I cannot link.
