Re: I am officially diagnosed

Congratulations!

If nothing else, you should have the peace of mind because now the doctors can't let you go until they cure you of your diagnosis.

If they don't fulfill that duty, you get them for negligence?

You are lucky to get a doctor who at least listened to you. I wouldn't be quick to bad mouth this doctor. I understand the frustrations of repeat lab tests, but they have to base their treatment on something. They can't go entirely on your word. Think about it from their perspective - if they don't get a confirmation and say they prescribe a lot of albendazole and you end up messing your liver, you would be able to sue them for prescribing you medications that weren't warranted by a lab result. I don't think any doctor would be willing to lose their license over this. If I were you, I would be very patient with this doctor. Since he isn't from US, he probably understands the shortcomings of P&O test.
