Re: I am officially diagnosed

And then all those people are coughing all over the place not knowing they're spreading infection. And strongyliods make people have biting sensations, so they'd easily blame it on some kind of allergy.
This is like a bad scifi/horror movie... except its not some kind of zombie virus or mutated swine flu... its something thats been around for millions of years but no one thinks it can happen in the US. I can't look up roundworm info anymore.. its too upsetting and gives me panic attacks knowing i have that in me and my doctor is useless and sent me home to infect my young children... if they're not already infected but don't know any better.
I had no idea any of this stuff existed until a month ago. People used to joke that I had a Tapeworm because I'm so thin, so I've heard of those... and i heard of heartworms because of the commercials they play every 15 minutes with the dalmations... for heartworm medicine. When the ER told me they wanted to test my daughter for parasites, I was a little offended and thought it was a waste of time. I'm assuming most of the population is just as ignorant.
They have no clue... and think you can only get worms from eating undercooked meat with your bare hands with sick orphans in Africa.
