Re: Please help - hair is shedding...:(

Yes exactly, when the yeast form mutates to fungus one, that is a painful candidose, both forms do not like Se. Selenium is anti mycose, anti candida.

For example, 2 strokes of fresh garlic are always mentionned as an natural anti candida treatment, Sulphur and Selenium are important in garlic, and both elements are in the same colon in Mendeleev table, having some affinities, they are used a lot in detoxification of heavy metals.

One theory says that this mutation is perhaps done because there is a lot of Hg in the body and once Hg is detoxicated, candida is reduced, Selenium is used to get rid of Hg.

Another theory says that the candidas, responsible for candidoses, produce tartric acid - having an affinity with fumarase (enzyme of the Krebs cycle). Normally, fumarase transform fumaric acid into malic acid, but when it is blocked by tartric acid produced by the candidas, the cycle is blocked, creating an immense sensation of tiredness, like in fibromyalgia.

Ginagirl said in the post above, a highly interesting thing about Boron that candidas-fungus cannot use it...
