Taking Iodine is not going to cause your thyroid to overproduce. Assuming one is sufficient in Iodine and thyroid is functioning properly taking more Iodine doesnt mean thyroid will produce more thyroxin. Thats like saying putting more gas in your cars tank will make it go faster. It doesnt work that way.
