Thanks...I have SIBO and I have to take magnesium on a daily basis..I never thought about doing the same to my daughter. In SIBO, peristalsis is messed up and I do believe for some reason her peristalsis is messed up too. She did have parasites when she was about 4 yrs of age because she suffered from encopresis, which I assume the worms had caused a blockage up there. I had her checked for food allergies recently and she had none. SIBO also causes malabsorption of nutrients which is why I take magnesium daily. However she is not bloated although at times has had reflux AND also had reflux as a baby. So maybe it's SIBO after all.
