Re: large bowel movements

I'm sorry to hear about you son's situation. 4 inches across seems incredible to me but if he is having trouble with toilets not flushing he has my simpathy. I may have had large bowel movements when I was younger but I was 13 or 14 when I started to think it was abnormal. Plugging up a toilet at a friends house or a public place can be embarrassing and I was embarrassed also just for people to find out about my abnormallity. One thing that made me feel funny was my family (especially my mom) made such a big deal of it. My mom used to make me sit on the toilet every night and try to go so I would clog it up later. When I stayed over at a friends house once she called at about 8:00 to make sure I went to the bathroom. If I ever plugged up the toilet with a large bowel movement she would tell me I should have gone sooner and even get mad at me. It made me start to think that I was responcible for what seemed to be for me a natural thing. I'm telling you this as best as I can so you can deal with your son appropriately. Try not to make him feel unusual. For the most part don't discuss it with him at all, unless he brings it up. good luck
