Re: Extreme fatigue: cause ? what organ ?
Hey Jo,
I'm female and have/had a lot of your symptoms so can relate.
As Shark says, the symptoms align with liver congestion and i also feel soooo tired after a high fat meal.
Not long ago i had a whole avocado - needed a quick snack , was feeling very weak, 5 minutes later i felt extremely nauseous and suddenly so tired i could hardly sit at the table.
Other fats like nuts doesn't do this to me.
Magnesium chloride baths make me feel extremely tired the next day.
But i do think i have liver congestion - yet i'm not persuaded that this is the *root* cause of my decline in health so young - as like you, i've done many cleanses, diets, regimes and protocols and not had the results others speak of.
Like i said, i'm female and hormone levels are completely way upside down. I'm more of a man hormonally than female!
I am currently awaiting tests for CAH, and ovarian/adrenal scans for any adenomas.
Family history of adrenal insufficiency suggests CAH moreso than pheo's or ovarian cancer, but i wanted to share with you briefly the route i've been down, as CAH in males is not so obvious as it is in females but can be equally debilitating - depending on which adrenal/hormonal enzymes are not working.
Have you had a full hormonal work-up?
For any kind of genetic hormonal condition the hormone results will swing way out of range.
The burning sensation in the middle of the back i relate to so much - it was like being poked with a red hot poker - it would come on at night. I was working physically hard at the time and then when my health took a severe turn for the worse ended up bedbound and over time the burning sensation faded away. It hasn't returned despite me now embracing physical work once again.
I never knew what caused it but i was extremely 'worn out' when i had that symptom.
It's boring to just rest but it really did help me being bedbound as it forced my world to *stop* for once!
