Stephi is correct. Lugols, and iodoral capsules are all identical formulas containing both Iodide and iodine.

Specifically Potassium Iodide is in discussion here, same as Iodide and same as SSKI .

Ki is the scientific term for Potassium Iodide. Iodine is made from Iodine crystals and iodide+ SSKI are made from iodide crystals. You can see the recipes for making Lugols or SSKI here:
