That is certainly a plausible and interesting theory. May be fasting was the problem in the beginning, but I haven't fasted in a long time. I would have thought that my liver would've caught up by now.

I know Antibiotics are bad, but I can't knock on them too bad. Doxycycline did work for me, but I only took them for 2 weeks. The first week gave me a lot of improvement, but its effectiveness was definitely diminished during the 2nd week.

High testosterone might have been a problem too...Cold showers increase testo levels.
