I have always eaten "regular" meals (3 times a day, 2 snacks a day) but I will definitely work on increasing the calorie intake in each meal by incorporating carbohydrates. Will probably lay off bread for now but will try to incorporate rice, oats, quinoa, etc until I feel like my body can handle gluten/bread. Any other suggestions on food? I usually snack on fruit or yogurt but had to stop the yogurt with the lactose intolerance. I recently tried tahini (though this technically wasnt allowed) but noticed my symptoms were worse with it so i stopped. Potatoes and sweet potatoes are definitely a good idea. Will try the sweet potatoes tonight.
