Agreed, the so-called candida diet (which doesn't even exist) or paleo diets are the worst possible diets you can follow, especially in your situation (addressing the original poster) of being underweight. The only benefit to paleo or low-carb diets is you will have less digestive discomfort because proteins don't tend to ferment in the intestines when your digestion is sluggish, however long-term low-carb diets will make everything 100 times worse including digestion, most people become totally carb-intolerant and develop other food intolerances on a low-carb diet because their digestion becomes extremely impaired. Avoid this diet like the plague. You need a healthy balanced diet with plenty of carbohydrates in your situation. It may not feel comfortable for now because you are likely not digesting most of your food and then it is fermenting in your intestines but that doesn't mean your body still doesn't need it. You need to correct your digestion and overall balance of your body. Any doctor that you go to should be telling you how they are going to get you back into balance. If they suggest paleo diets (or any other fad diets) or anti-fungals to treat candida, they have no clue how to treat the body as a whole and are no better than regular mainstream Western medicine (which is completely pathetic of course). The absolute key to curing candida is correcting your digestive function and immune system, it has nothing to do with starving the candida or blasting it out with anti-fungals.
