Re: Question for TEI Individuals
Just wanted to mention that any calcium dysregulation can point to a hyper or hypo parathyroid condition.
I'm surprised that the NB consult (ARL or TEI) doesn't include this, yet will indicate thyroid and adrenal health, when clearly calcium levels are directly implicated with the parathyroid glands.
It's been a while since researching the parathyroid so cannot add much but would definately suggest to look into the parathyroid if calcium levels are elevated OR low.
One thing i specifically remember from a group of specialists that deal only with parathyroid glands, is that in the 12000+ surgeries they have done on people to remove enlarged (hyper) glands their statistics showed that those who had just SLIGHTLY elevated blood calcium levels experienced the MOST symptoms. Whereas very high calcium blood levels tended to exhibit low symptoms.
This group of surgeons (well acclaimed in Florida) said that most docs don't take slightly elevated calcium blood levels seriously and sit and wait to see if things get worse - when their opinion is that there shouldn't be an elevated levels at all and any deviation significantly points to parathyroid dysfunction...and needs to be looked into.
I'm guessing that hair calcium levels being high indicate that circulating blood calcium levels are high?
I have no idea if that's the case..
My hair calcium was slightly elevated - i've had not eaten dairy for years so was amazed...yet i had at that time consumed kilo's of greens per week and plenty of sesame seed paste.
