Re: Acne - Tried Candida Diet, Hulda Clark Liver Cleanse, Benzoyl Peroxide, Antibiotics + More
Hi there and thanks for the reply,
I've considered doing the allergy skin prick test and have come across this theory as well that I have subtle
food allergies all along and but didn't know it which may have been causing my
Acne all this time as the body tries to desperately remove these toxins. However, I researched further on this topic and from what I read, skin problems related to food consumption is usually
food intolerances rather than
food allergies and apparently there is a difference. To test for
food intolerance is not as simple as the skin prick test. Most tests are unreliable and the only reliable method of testing is to stop consuming a suspected food for a few weeks to months to notice any chance which takes a long time. However, if the skin prick test worked for you, I might consider giving it another shot.
As for the Betaine HCL, I've long suspected I have low stomach acid but have never thought it as a possible cause for my acne. My blood type is AB and AB blood types supposedly have low stomach acid. However, I'm not entirely sure and I would like to test this somehow without buying a whole bottle. Also from what I've just read on Betaine HCL, isnt its purpose to help your body get used to producing more stomach acid? is taking it six months a normal amount of time?
