Re: A great article about being a former vegan and making changes

Faith110,

Thank you for your post!

I was meaning to post something similar actually as I went through similar things: was a vegetarian, then vegan and experienced a lot of the same things, like AF and then started eating meat again.

Did you know that people who for some reasons have low stomach acid are simply unable to digest meat? Stomach acid can be depleted due to numerous factors, such as pollution, gut dysbiosis after a course of Antibiotics , etc. Low stomach acid alone can turn somebody into a vegetarian. I think it was probably my case.

So, basically, in some cases vegetarianism can be simply an eating disorder.
I don't mean to say that vegans/vegetarians are all ill, I am sure there must be some healthy ones.

Veganism is something that never existed in any cultures before (lacto-vegetarianism did) and it is something utterly artificial and imposed on those who have a guilt complex...

Another big factor in veganism is EGO. Veganism is something that makes people believe that they are better than meat-eaters. And not so many vegans, who actually listened to their body would change their views, because that would mean stepping on your own ego ... and that hurts... and you have to go through humility of admitting you were wrong...

Thank you for being brave and humble enough to make a change and talk about it.

I honestly think that a lot of vegans may be feeling the same cravings but would never "betray" their views as that takes humbleness.

I am glad I listened to my body and got out of veganism. Surprisingly, the whole detox process is just much more efficient with animal products not to mention that I am finally recovering from lots of stuff which veganism didn't help a bit.

I am on GAPS diet protocol with emphasis on fat, still do not eat red meat but surprisingly not because of moral reasons.

I have to tell you that GAPS diet gentle healing effect together with all the butter and fat does wonders for AF as well as for digestion and health in general. If you ever get interested, it's just the most healing and gentle dietary protocols ever created.
