Re: Brain fog/derealization for 7 years, still getting worse

Speedball, I hope you have found the missing link and will respond to treatment. We'd be grateful for an update in 6 months.

Unfortunately I'll be a little surprised if treatment for Lyme is the magic bullet. I've heard reports of false positives from that testing company. The patient then spends lots of time and $ treating Lyme when the problem is somewhere else.

I had the typical Lyme bulls eye mark on my chest around the time my previously good health went South. For ten years I struggled with declining health, mood, energy, etc. I just assumed it was due to long term effects of Lyme.

Thankfully! I broke my leg with out any contact. That led me to consider the involvement of heavy metals. Things have gotten better during the 2+ yrs of gradual detox--lead comes out of bone very slowly. More on my detox here.

I now think my body was handling detox --long term HM exposure in my family's business--reasonably well until it also had to deal with Lyme. The downward spiral began as the heavy metals damaged my detox and immune systems.

Even if Lyme is involved, HMs could also be involved. They damage the immune system.

Best of luck with the treatments.

Joe
