Re: The pharisees lacked discernment too.
I sat at the feet of the Lord Jesus directly for 7 months, about 14 hours per day every day and dry fasted 5 days each of these months without going to any church during this whole time or listening to any bethel or ihop teaching. It was at this time that i realized the Lord had blessed me with a lot of authority over unclean spirits as a 2nd attempt when about 3 months previously a desperate friend had begged me to help her get delivered from what turned out to be 40 demons in Jesus name... and yes in this 2nd attempt after 7 months of sitting at the Lord's feet she got delivered. This thing, this authority over demons thing, it had nothing to do with bethel or ihop or any apostolic movement or word of faith movement or any of the other movements you are so quick to denounce. It came from sitting at the Lord Jesus' feet 14 hours per day every day and dry fasting unto Him 5 days each month, asking Him every day to destroy my flesh so that i could live holy unto Him as led by His Spirit. Is there any part of you that still does not get this?
One of your many many many mistakes is that you are used to the model of people sitting in a pew and absorbing anything and everything the pastor says, looking at the pastor with trusting puppy dog eyes as the authority over them, when this simply is not what i do. My role in the body of Christ is not that of pew sitter and is rather unique, not the kind of thing you are likely to be able to imagine. when i say i can embrace the good in a church or in a teaching and spit out the bad, i really do mean this... and this really is what i do... every single time i hear a sermon or see a manifestation of the spirit that needs to be discerned. Just last week i saw in person what i discerned to have been a counterfeit joy that looked like extreme drunkenness or a heroine high. I know real joy from the Lord and that was not it. I am not as closely aligned with any church or movement as you might imagine. Just from what i have seen, Bethel and ihop are 2 of the best in the country, specifically where worship and prayer are concerned since i have had only very limited exposure to any teaching... and no i did not say they are the two best as you have falsely portrayed. How could i possibly know this? Nevertheless as i have said before and as you have read before, i don't agree with everything that is taught in these two churches. But seriously and again, if i am going to war against a demonic principality, i want a bunch of people from those churches with me, not a bunch of scoffing vekteks, ever passionate about denying the power of the Holy Spirit at every possibly opportunity.
