Re: Insomnia.. ( How I've been handling it )

BF,

Have you tried Kava? A friend of mine brought me some Kava tea when my insomnia was at its worst and it seemed to make me drowsy enough to pass out.

Also, Onwards mentioned a sleepytime tea that she used to get from Mountain Rose Herbs. She said it could knock out a horse lol.

Yikes! Garlic, onion, and cayenne pepper?! That combo would likely keep someone up for days! If I even eat a little bit of garlic in the evening I'm up all night with sweats and stomach cramps. Most people with AF can't tolerate strong foods and spices like that. Especially if digestive problems are involved in the mix.

I used to take Bentonite baths, but could never handle more than 15 minutes without feeling dizzy. A crash would always follow them, so I stopped. Most people with advanced AF can't handle any forced detoxing.

A plain warm water bath with a small amount of Epsom Salt (not enough to invoke a string detox) before bed has also been helpful for me on the nights that I feel extra tense.

I agree with Marie, the minute you get tired go to bed. It's like a window of opportunity and if you don;t take it you're screwed for the rest of the night.
