Herxheimer
You have to understand the nature of the herxheimer reflex. It is a survival mechanism of a
parasite to poison the host right before it dies, so that the host will stop any behavior that is killing the parasite. Therefore, "die-off" is really a process. As you kill the
parasite you feel miserable, but the less
parasites in your system you have the more general relief you feel.
Regarding candida, there are way too many people here who don't know what the hell they are talking about. It has always been this way and probably always will, and is in fact why I didn't bother posting on curezone years ago when I was eradicating candida from my system.
I don't know where you've heard it or read it from, but Candida does not have a 24 hour lifespan. Maybe that 30 bananas a day Graham fruitarian guy. This is nonsense. The only candidiasis that is relevant here is when candida morphs into its fungal or hyphal form while in the intestines and shoots rhizomes through the intestinal lining- releasing spores throughout the system and creating "leaky gut". This is "candida". The herxheimer from candida is vastly superior to say flukes or tapeworms, because mycotoxins are some of the most deadliest poisons in existence! In fact they are creating chemical warfare weapons based on mycotoxins. Not to mention the fact that any regimen that successfully kills one candida colony will likely get the rest of the colonies close to death; thus triggering herxheimer response from THE ENTIRE COLONY! This is each and everytime a colony dies! And because of candida's sophisticated survival mechanism, only 1 or 2 colonies die at one time. All the resources are siphoned off to the older colonies. This is why "so many people here have been struggling so hard for so long trying to get what they think is candida overgrowth under control".
Most people haven't even scratched the surface. They feel better so long as they maintain a certain diet but revert back to old symptoms as soon as eating normally again. This is not a "cure". It is a maintenance protocol and nothing else. You should be able to eat whatever the hell you want without any symptoms- which is possible only after killing off all the colonies in the intestines, then subsequently the systemic infections in the entire body. A lot easier said than done, I assure you of that. But yes, you do "feel better" after die-off.
